Frequently Asked Questions
What size flag do I need?
The length of your flag should approximately be 1/3 of the height of your flag pole. So, for instance, our 8’x12’ flag should be displayed on a flag pole that is at least 36’ tall. A simple formula to figure this out for your flag pole is (the size of your flag pole)/3=the length of flag you need. If we don’t currently offer the size you need, please contact us here to request another size.
Why do I need to change my flag every 90 days?
Out of respect for the flag, it needs to be retired when it begins to wear and fray. The Farmer’s Almanac writes, “You are showing respect for the flag by always showing it at its best, clean, with bright colors, waving majestically…” Flags that are routinely flown 24/7 outdoors, typically reach the point of needing to be retired at around 90 days. To prolong the life of your flag, it should be lowered in advance of severe weather.
I don’t typically replace the flag that often. Can I choose a different schedule?
While we do recommend 90 day replacement to ensure that you’re always flying a flag that is in outstanding condition, we understand that schedule may not work for everyone. When flown in mild climates or if your flag is not flown 24/7, it may look presentable well beyond the 90 day mark. With that in mind, we do also offer 4 Month and 6 Month replacement intervals to better serve those use cases.
My shipment hasn’t arrived yet. What do I do?
You’ll receive a tracking number via the email associated with your account as soon as your order has been shipped. Most packages arrive within 2-5 business days. If your shipment is delayed or lost, please reach out and let us know.
When will I get my first flag?
Once we have your account on a schedule, your flags will arrive on schedule based on the time interval that you selected (i.e. every 90 days.) However, due to supply chain shortages or shipping delays, the first flag for a new customer account may take up to two weeks. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact us.
